Sleek and clean looking with pale gray wings, bright yellow legs, and a yellow bill marked by a crisp black "ring"; it is the gull you will spot at beaches, lakes, rivers, parking lots, and marinas. They are expert opportunists, They snatch insects, small fish, crustaceans, and are scavengers along the waterfront - smart enough to thrive wherever people and water overlap. They migrate huge distances - breeding across Canada and the northern United States. They winter much father south along coasts and big inland waterways.
